Where are you situated?
Address is 1148 Frederick rd, North Vancouver. Please don’t come outside of the times above without booking first or I won’t be available (sorry to insist but I had a few people coming without letting me know and I was away).
Can I swap some children clothes for adult ones?
Yes. Basically you can swap any item for anything else. One exception only: Sept to March, if you want to get some snow clothes or shoes you have to bring some (any size, any gender works).
How many items can I exchange at one time? Why is there a maximum?
You can exchange between 1 and 20 items. It takes time to check the condition of each item and display them, I can’t manage well if I get to many every day.
How many items can I get if I bring 10?
The exchange is based on a Bring One Get One system, so you will most likely take 10. However items with a smaller value like Tshirts, most of babies and children clothes or some toys have 1/2 credit value, which means you can get 2 per regular item you bring -or get a regular item for 2 half value you bring. Also, some items might have a higher value, depending on the brands or quality. Same as above, you’ll get 2 for 1 -or 1 for 2. My aim is always to have you happy when you leave, while making sure that people after you will be as happy as you are. If we have this same aim in mind, everything runs smoothly!
Can I reserve an item for pickup?
Yes! If you want an item advertised on our Facebook page you can ask for it by commenting on the page. I will keep the item for the first person asking for it, for up to seven days.
What can I bring, what will I find?
I always have in stock some clothes for women XXS to XXL, men S to XL, teens, children and babies.
I always have many shoes, runners and boots for kids, men and women, but all sizes are not necessarily available.
I have plenty of scarves, belts, bags, wallets, sunglasses, jewels and other fashion accessories, mostly for women, a few for men. Also usually some hair accessories, perfumes and creams, make up…
I always have plenty of toys and games for all ages.
=> You can bring any items listed above.
Also, I have very little space for household items. You can bring some if they fit in a shelf (1ft wide max) and are somehow different, funny, useful… Note that when I get new household items and I have no more space, I donate previous ones to Urban Repurpose.
Last but not least, I accept very few books, and donate others to the Bouquinerie if they are in French or related to France and French authors, or to street libraries.
Please don’t ask me if I have a specific item in a specific size: the stock changes all the time. Just come and check, like in any other thrift store.
Can I bring my children / husband / some friends? How much will I pay?
Of course you can. You will pay 1 $10 fee per core family (parents and children). Your friend will pay her/his own $10 fee.
Can I donate without swapping?
Sure! The more choice there is, the better it is for people coming. You can just show up in the regular hour listed above, or contact me. Thank you sooo much!
Can I help in any way?
The most important is to talk about this system: the more people use it, the more new items we get, the more interesting it is when you come. So spread the word around you, let your family and friends know about it and come with them, like the Facebook page and share it. Thank you 🙂
